Politician

Co-founded the civic youth movement Oborona in 2005 and the political movement Solidarnost in 2008. Served as leader of the People’s Freedom Party from 2012 to 2016 and chaired the Council of Deputies of Moscow’s Krasnoselsky district from 2017 to 2021. Actively participated in the Dissenters' March and the 2011–2013 Russian protests. In 2022, was arrested and sentenced under laws prohibiting dissemination of “false information” about the Russian Armed Forces. Released in August 2024 as part of a prisoner exchange.
