Prior to joining Free Russia Foundation, she had worked at prominent D.C. think-tanks. Worked at the Council on Foreign Relations as Assistant Director for Congress and U. S. Foreign Policy. From 2006 to 2015, was Director of Public Affairs at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, managing outreach to the Pentagon, U. S. Congress, media, and the defense industry. Served as Vice President for Development and Communications at the Potomac Foundation, focusing on transatlantic security, particularly the Baltic region and Ukraine.
