Worked as an editor at Kommersant Publishing House and taught at the Faculty of Journalism at Moscow State University. In 2010, as a Fulbright Program fellow, conducted research at the Harriman Institute at Columbia University. Currently a doctoral candidate in the Department of Political Science at Stony Brook University.
Held positions as a political analyst at the Institute of Modern Russia and Free Russia Foundation.
